Born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1962, Robert was raised in the North Carolina mountain town of Hendersonville where his family moved in 1965. Robert graduated from East Henderson High School in 1980 and attended the University of Georgia where he received a journalism degree in 1984. After college, Robert worked as a studio cameraman, a game show producer and as a promotions writer/producer. Aside from his career as a screenwriter, Robert Tate Miller has had essays and articles published in Reader's Digest, numerous times in The Christian Science Monitor and in several of the Chicken Soup For the Soul books.
