Rita Angel Taylor, also known as RAT because of her initials, was born in the northeast region of Brazil to a Brazilian mother and an American father. She is bilingual, with fluency in English and Portuguese.At age three, while living in the USA, Rita was discovered at Starbucks by a talent scout and was signed by a modeling agency soon thereafter. She booked two to three days a week as a top child model until a national department store chain recommended she pursue acting.At age six, Rita booked her first audition as an actor, co-starring in Nickelodeon's teen sitcom, "Sam and Cat". However, after appearing in one episode, the TV show was canceled. Following in the footsteps of Ariana Grande, one of the main stars of the show, Rita decided to take a break from acting to pursue her musical ambitions.Now, at age nine, Rita has become one of the top street-performers in the world because of her advanced musical talents at such a young age, which include singing, songwriting, playing guitar and piano. As a result of her success, Rita's artist development "dream team", which includes industry heavyweights involved in the careers of some of today's biggest musical stars including Beyoncé, Adele and Mariah Carey, was formed to help guide her career.However, as much as Rita loves music, her love for acting could not be denied...Rita made a decision to pursue both her acting and musical ambitions in December 2016 and signed with Paradigm Talent Agency, Abrams Artists Agency and DPN Talent in preparation for her return to acting in 2017.
