New York-based actor Richard Brundage was born in Seattle and grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia and La Spezia, Italy, with significant detours through Providence (the one in Rhode Island) and Falmouth, Massachusetts. Before taking up acting, he pursued several careers, including librarian, semi-professional French hornist, high-school math teacher, and classical music engraver/editor. At the age of 39, pretty much on a whim, he signed up for a couple of acting classes at HB Studio in Manhattan. Soon he was acting full-time.He's played leading roles in several feature films, including Lena Dunham's "Creative Nonfiction," Gorman Bechard's "You Are Alone," and Winn Coslick's "Fourhand." His forty-plus indie roles have been seen at film festivals all over the planet.Onstage, in addition to numerous New York productions, he's performed in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois.
