Rene was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador. Following his first birthday, he and his mother, Griselda, moved to Southern California. By age four, they packed up again, this time moving across the country to join Rene's father in sunny Orlando, Florida. After dealing with some personal struggles in his high school years, under the guidance of his mother, Rene made the difficult decision to leave his family and move back to Los Angeles in search of a better path. This decision led to a chance meeting with a film director who invited Rene to audition for a role in his feature film, Stiletto. To his surprise, he would beat out hundreds of other young actors, landing a role that would kick off his acting career. This experience led to more acting opportunities on television dramas such as Lie To Me (opposite Tim Roth), Battle Creek (opposite Josh Duhamel), and Major Crimes. Rene has also appeared on sitcom television series Dr. Ken (opposite Ken Jeong), The Odd Couple, and Bad Judge. His recurring guest star credits include shows such as Shameless (Showtime) and Switched At Birth. Most recently, Rene booked a role opposite Michael Peña and Dax Shepard on Warner Bros. feature film CHiPs (2017).
