In the early 2000's, if you had told the 20 year old I.T. student born Randy Duane Patrick II that one day in the not too distant future he would be considered one of the most recognized actors in North Texas, he would have probably smiled and told you that was a dream at the time he considered too far fetched. Nonetheless, this sensitive, deeply artistic young man who was born in 1984 in Dallas, Texas, was destined to become an artist. The only son among adoptive parents after living in a foster home young Randy spent his childhood exploring the vast canvases of creativity. By the time he was 13 he had become an extraordinary artist from drawing, sketching, painting, and eventually expanding into guitar and piano lessons. Living partially with his mother and partially with his father in the South Ridge area of Denton, Texas, Randy went on to pursue a career in business and computer networking systems. While in high school, he developed an interest in acting however he abandoned the idea with the fear of failure and criticism going on to graduate at age 17. Following in his adoptive father's footsteps Randy spent the next 10 years of his life working in business and Information Technology. After a long run in the corporate grind, Randy made the move to try out a local audition in which he made his film debut landing his first role in a small part of Director Andrew Saladino's "Fry Street" (2013). From that point on Randy has managed to expand his resume from the independent, industrial, commercial, and studio film industries in an astonishingly short amount of time while also maintaining a stage presence at Denton Community Theatre working with Directors Brad Speck in Gore Vidal's "The Best Man" (2014) and Sharon Veselic in Agatha Christie's "Witness For The Prosecution" (2015).Though without any formal training at the time, within 3 years Randy Shoemake was landing featured, supporting, principle and leading roles. By (2016) he has been known for his work in Siren City (2017), Red (2017), in which placed as a finalists at My RØDE Reel Short Film Competition, Queen of the South (2016) and 11.22.63 (2016) eventually gaining a nomination for "Best Actor in a Leading Role" for his performance at Rack Focus Dallas's Film Competition entry Live to Die Another Day (2016).Randy is known for his kind thoughtful on set work ethic as well as his generous compassion in the North Texas motion picture and fine arts community. Randy Duane Patrick II has indeed come a long way from the lonely wanderings of his youth and has recently ventured out seeking roles in Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles while fine tuning his craft, enrolling, and staying active in acting classes. You may see Randy's past, present, and future projects at randyshoemake.com.
