Having earned an MFA degree in Acting from the University of California~Davis, Phillip E. Walker has more than a half century of experience in "The Industry". Having just ended his first LA season with 133 shoots, his "Entry Level Acting in LA" hands on full employment manual for actors releases Sept. 29, 2015. Fortunate enough to have never accepted a job outside of his field since graduating college, that Loyola University of Chicago renaissance man training helped PhilE build a diverse arts career including: multiple university theatre professorships throughout America such as chairing the Fisk University Speech & Drama Department; several arts administration positions such as the first ever California Arts Council Arts Touring Coordinator; creator/leader of more than ten (10) youth summer arts camps including SummerCampCalifornia; plus full time stints with several theatre companies such as collective membership in the TONY Award winning San Francisco Mime Troupe. With more than four (400) hundred live theatrical productions under his belt, Phillip has also directed many plays. Blessed with having had the best parents in the world, Walker was taught to be a "professional traveler". Among the fruits of that upbringing was his becoming founding Artistic Director of the African American Drama Company, a Black History theatre in its 39th season which has performed at least twice in every United State. Mr. Walker's only son (City Solar Regional Manager Travis Donnell Walker) has given birth to a daughter Aliah Janae Walker. Show less «
