Petrus Antonius - Was born in Amsterdam, Holland. At the age of two immigrated with parents to Brazil, settling in Sao Paulo. At the age of eight, made his first acting debut in a musical comedy at the Dutch Club in S.P. Continued participating in amateur theatre in school and college years. At 19 started working in TV Commercials and made first television debut in the Telenovela "Tilim" produced by TV Record channel 7, directed by Wanda kosmo. In 1971 studied acting with Emilio Fontana at the SBC - Sociedade Brasileira de Comedia. The following year was accepted at Teatro Tese; (Universidade Sedes Sapientiae) acting studio, directed by the renown Theatre director Roberto Lage. In 1976 moved to New York to study drama at HB Studio on a 3 year full time student. In Los Angeles at the beginning of 1980, while working as an actor in Hollywood, he also attended workshop classes with Michael Shurtleff. In the mid 80's Petrus became a member of the Roundabout Theatre Conservatory and Ensemble Co., in New York, under the guidance of its founding and artistic director Gene Feist. In 2008 Petrus won his first acting award (Creative Loafing Best Of The Bay) as Pablo Picasso in the StageWorks production of "A Pcasso", in Tampa - Fl. Petrus speaks fluent Portuguese, English, Spanish and Dutch. He lives with his wife Sandy in Tampa, Fl. and is active in the local theatre.
