Paula Mollenhauer was born on December 22, 1908 in Hamburg, Germany. Mollenhauer placed twelfth in the women's discus throw at the Amsterdam Games in 1928. Paula went on to win the bronze medal in the same exact sports category at both the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany and the 1938 European Championships. Moreover, Mollenhauer won the German Championships in 1929, 1931, and 1943. Paula served as a women's representative for the German Athletics Federation from 1946 to 1949. In addition, Paula was also a successful handball player with the women's team of SC Victoria Hamburg: She won several titles in both the Hamburg and North German Championships in field handball as well as was the captain of the handball team at the 1930 German Championships. Mollenhauer died at age 79 on July 7, 1988 in Hamburg, Germany. Show less «
