Patrick Arrellin is often endeared as "Punch" and unless you know him on an extremely personal basis, the origin of his nickname will remain a complete mystery.Punch has always been into photography. As a self taught "closet" photographer a close friend encouraged and vigorously pushed him to enter a still photography competition where all 3 of his entries won and were selected for publication. After said years of competitions, and multiple publications his work caught the eye of an art director and he was asked to work as a still photographer for an independent film. Soon, other directors and film makers acquired an eye for his work, and his career in cinematic art began.As a director of photography for several film competitions and independent film projects, Punch received a crash course in film making. He has worked both in front of and behind the camera and enjoys the creative process found behind the viewfinder. Although his experience is strong behind the lens, his unique looks and chameleon-like ability to alter his appearance often lent to him being pulled out from behind the camera to fill rolls when needed.
