From the time she was a child, Paisley Blackburn knew she wanted to be an actress. As a child, she would avidly watch as many movies and television shows as she could, soaking up the performances and later reenacting them in front of her bedroom mirror. She really wanted to do theatre in high school, but the teen years were hard for her. She was shy and insecure then, so pursuing her dream would have to wait until she was in college. Her major was Chemistry, and while she excelled in her studies, her heart was just not in it. She felt a growing urgency to finally go after the dream she had held since she was a young girl. And so, she decided to drop out of college and pursue acting with a vengeance. She took classes and worked very hard to hone her skills. She wanted to be the best actress she could possibly be. She started going to auditions and slowly winning roles. Things really started happening for her when she moved to the Midwest, a place she says is full of some of the most passionate and talented people on the planet. She continues growing her resume all while being a single mother and working a full-time survival job at a factory as a diecutter. Show less «
