ACTING, STAGE/SCREEN:Paisley Baker began her artistic endeavors in Texas performing on stage in plays, as well as musicals. She moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to expand her experience to include both film and television. Paisley's stage credits include "Cabaret", "Camelot", "Medea", as well as Felicity in "The Shadow Box", Celia in "As You Like It", and Julia in "Lend Me A Tenor" which earned her an Irene Ryan Nomination. After a short time in Los Angeles she snagged the lead role in "On the Outs", a 23minute short film directed by Courtney Rowe. "On the Outs", which follows one woman's comically failed attempts at coming out of the closet, was popular on the Festival Circuit and the Audience Award Winner at the Spokane Washington Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. It screened at Mardi Gras(Sydney, Australia), Frameline (San Francisco, CA), the Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival (Tokyo, Japan) and 20 others. She was featured on the Disney kid show "The Jersey" as a Substitute Teacher, and asked to lend her voice to an episode as The Coaches Wife. Paisley booked a commercial promoting Fox's "VIP Passport" which helped secure her representation in 2004 at Coast-to-Coast Talent Agency. (She later transferred commercially to O'Neill Talent Group.) Her accomplishments include being an Irene Ryan Finalist, President of the College of Arts & Sciences Ambassadors, Best Supporting Actress for University of North Texas Theatre in both '98 and '00, Participant in the Setkani Festival in Brno, Czech Republic, Most Valuable Undergraduate Theatre Major of 2000, and Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UNT. Paisley Baker was a Member in Repertory at Playhouse West from 2003 - 2008 and performed in the 2005 stage production of "Cash Flow". She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.PRODUCTION/CASTING/DEVELOPMENT:Paisley began as a Production Assistant on the Disney Kids Show, The Jersey, and was later hired as Production Secretary for Scout Productions, 51 Minds, and Eric Eisner & Julian Metter's animated feature Booty Call. She Coordinated Director Wondwossen Dikran's film Concrete Jungle, as well as commercial shoots for merit/Andrew in Newport. She eventually shifted focus from Production to Casting, working as a Casting Director for short film French Kiss, and Television Pilot Snakes of Justice. She has experience working with Line Producers, Executive Producers, and other Casting Directors in both the scripted and unscripted genres, but her extensive background is in casting reality-based, non-scripted television. She is the former Executive in Charge of Doron Ofir Casting and Popular Productions Inc. where she had administrative oversight of the daily operations of the busy Casting & Development company. Paisley's expertise includes creative breakdown, time management, organization, interviewing, due diligence, budgeting, shooting, packaging and presentation. While with Doron Ofir Casting she was instrumental in delivering cast for Ru Paul's Drag Race, Jersey Shore, Millionaire Matchmaker, Design Star, Nashville Star, A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila, Tool Academy, Workout, Sunset Tan, and many more.
