Nya Bowman is a passionate and vivacious, native New Yorker from the Lower East Side who shares stories of hope and inspiration through Dance, Acting, and Education. You can catch Nya in a few international commercials and an episode of "Diabolical" the television reenactment series on the Investigation Discovery Channel. Nya was featured as Nevada and The Dancer, in the Negro Ensemble Company Off-Off-Broadway revival play "A Photograph: Lovers In Motion" by Ntozake Shange's reimagined and directed by Ifa Bayeza. It was nominated for the 2020 AUDELCO Awards Best Ensemble and won for Best Choreography. Nya was a dancer at the Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center, The Deborah Zall Project: In The Company of Women, and the Martha Graham Dance Company along with working with numerous choreographers. Nya was a dance at Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center, The Deborah Zall Project: In The Company of Women, the Martha Graham Dance Company, and danced with numerous choreographers. She is the first Black woman in history to dance Martha Graham's famous solo Lamentation, in the Martha Graham Dance Company Italian production, Cercando Picasso.
