What most people don't know is Stevenson is in close relation to Robert Stevenson. The famous Hollywood Director of such Disney classics as Mary Poppins, Bedknobs And Broomsticks, The Love Bug and many more. Stevenson is an incredibly versatile actor who bounces seamlessly from Comedy to Drama.Stevenson can be seen most recently in Netflix's newest hit show, Orange is the New Black, as "Pete Harper" alongside Kate Mulgrew, Jason Biggs, Taylor Schilling. The series is written and produced by Jenji Kohan (Weeds). He has guest starred opposite Jim Caviezel in the CBS drama, Person of Interest and on multiple Television shows and Films. He has three features coming out 2015. Jane Want's A Boyfriend and The Big Spoon to name a couple. The big spoon and I Am Jack's Apocalypse were shot here in Austin.In 2013, Isn't It Delicious was making the film festival rounds (winner at the Rainier International Film Festival, runner-up at the Tupelo Film Festival and best comedy at the Manhattan Film Festival to name a few nods). Nick was fortunate enough to have worked with stalwarts of the craft Kathleen Chalfant, Keir Dullea and Alice Ripley. When it comes to comedy Nick has worked with some of the best including the legend (The nicest guy in comedy) Jerry Seinfeld.Stevenson recently performed at The Long Center, Austin, in the Tom Stoppard classic The Invention Of Love as Pollard . He continues to embrace his old theater roots here in Austin. Stevenson's voice can be heard at any time on many famous ad campaigns such as Gillette, Miller Light, Energizer Batteries, British Airways, The Sydney Morning Herald, Louis Vuitton, McDonald's and for The Weinstein Company, among others.In between gigs, he has completed working on a documentary about his motorcycle trip down to the Tupelo Film Festival in Tupelo, MS, 2013. The central theme focuses on an actor's personal journey and how important local film festivals are to independent filmmakers. Stevenson is also working on multiple screenplay's one much inspired by the his trip to Tupelo called Tupelo Elvis with the same dream team from Isn't it Delicious. He also has two other completed screenplays he plans on shooting in Texas 2015/16 along with a teleplay and a violent TV Pilot titled The Bradman's which he seeking funding for.In 2006, Nick co-founded The Outhouse Theatre Company dedicated to the cultivation and development of both emerging and established Australian theater artists. Stevenson graduated from The Atlantic Theater Company's Conservative Acting School in 2002. Since then, he has performed in many productions all around the country and upstate (in his Summer stock days). Some of his favorite theater credits include The Boys, Mercy Thieves, Balm in Gilead, Careless Love, He Died with a Falafel in His Hand, Bed and How The Other Half Loves by Alan Ayckbourn to name a few.In 2007, for his love of theater, Stevenson traveled to Greece with the One Year Lease Troupe and performed in Widows and Reader by Ariel Dorfman. Reader was also performed at The New York Fringe Festival and received high praise from critics.Stevenson lives in Austin now. He has two kids.
