Mikhail Tank was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He is the creator of Darksoul(TM) performance art and the Darksoul Theatre, a Guinness World Records(TM) record holder, publisher of the sought-after book, Testament of Solomon, SAG/AFTRA actor who has co-starred with Isabella Rossellini and a director of documentaries and dollar baby films (based on stories by the legendary writer, Stephen King). Tank holds a degree in Dramatic Arts from UC Davis (where he was cast by world-renowned artist, Bill T. Jones as Dionysus in Euripides' The Bacchae). He has been featured on the BBC, Yahoo!, The Guardian, ABC, CBS Radio, KFOG and a multitude of other publications. In 2012, Tank's Darksoul Theatre soundtrack compilation was showcased at Times Square, NY on the 1st fully 'Green' digital billboard. His unique performance art can be purchased and enjoyed via iTunes, Google Music and Amazon. Tank's solo shows include The Magician's Key (UC Davis, award winning), Cure for a Broken Heart (Los Angeles, with a commendation from the city), Soul Photography (1st virtual ticketed show at the largest arts festival in the world - the Edinburgh Fringe + live version in Tokyo, Japan), For The Special Ones, as well as the upcoming Power of Rejection (set to premiere in Vancouver, British Columbia) in 2012. His films include Believe, Smile and Love ~ the Life and Teachings of Rabbi Schimmel (directorial debut, which premiered on JLT), My Pretty Pony (MPP) & Willa, both under the Dollar Baby agreement approved by the legendary author, Stephen King [MPP premiered at the Oldenburg International Film Festival in Germany and subsequently screened in Belgium, Spain, Argentina, The Netherlands and the US], Lazzaro Ferrari's Italian film Full Moon (with Tank portraying the devil) and as a magician in American Film Institute's Two Brothers. Other works include Disturb Things (which premiered at the Anchorage International Film Festival), Expired Love (at the Washougal International Film Festival) and a few unreleased gems. Mikhail is a BMI writer/publisher with over 200 lyrical tracks, 12 digital and compact disc releases and published books available via Kindle and Amazon. The list includes; The Art Studio of Life, Poetry Anthology, 2424, The Nectar of Experience, Rasputin's Thoughts and Visions, a Dark Tale, Everything is a Balance, Personal Magic, and Tea with Dracula (an audio book about his travels to Transylvania). Tank has been featured on ArcLight Cinemas' story-board wall and invited for an artist spotlight on CreateSpace, an Amazon company site. Travel has brought Mikhail personal and artistic inspiration.
