At age 11, his family moved to outside Portland, Oregon, where Mike would spend the next 12 years of his life.Upon his quickly growing YouTube success, Mike moved to Los Angeles to pursue his love of gaming, Esports, and new media. This includes traveling across the United States to commentate at live gaming events as well as finding himself in generally nerdy related short films.His passion has always been to promote professional gaming (Esports) as a legitimate and worthwhile spectator sport. Some events Mike has cast have upwards of 180,000 live concurrent viewers online through live streams by MLG. The opportunity to promote Esports have proven to be many in the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles.Being an avid gamer since he was a child, nearly every aspect of his life and career involves gaming or nerd culture. Mike is part of the parody band "Nerd Alert". With the assistance of fellow band member Kurt Schneider, Nerd Alert has released several video game related songs, totaling around 15 million views on YouTube.Mike is also one of the founding members of the 'Game Station' YouTube gaming network.
