Mickey Jaiven was born on April 25, 1990 in Miami, Florida. He has Russian, English, and German ancestry. He was raised in Weston, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. Jaiven grew up an only child, and is the only member of his family to pursue a career in acting. During childhood, in addition to his fascination with theatre and film, Mickey played numerous sports, including baseball, basketball, as well as dozens of statewide tennis tournaments, (at one point, even being ranked as high as #19 in the entire state of Florida amongst boys 14-&-under). Mickey attended high school at Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Florida, and it was there that he began taking acting very seriously. After graduating, Mickey was educated at the University of Central Florida where he earned a bachelor's degree in theatre and film and starred in productions such as "Talk Radio" (Barry Champlain), "Glengarry Glen Ross" (Shelley Levine). According to Mickey, the conservatory at UCF helped him "find that other side of myself, the side you can manifest into a personal art form." After acting in Orlando Shakespeare Theatre's production of "Henry IV", Mickey, upon earning his degree, returned to south Florida for a year to work in regional theatre, including Outre Theatre's production of "The Wild Party" (Eddie) and Thinking Cap Theatre's production of "The Rover" (Frederick). He is also a double-certified personal trainer, working for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as well as the American Council on ExcerciseMickey moved to New York in 2014, immediately finding modeling work, subsequently landing numerous acting roles, most recently in HBO's "Vinyl" and NBC's "Law & Order: SVU".
