Dr. Miami now performs breast augmentations, butt lifts, and tummy tucks, live and uncut to an audience of over 800,000 viewers daily on his Snapchat. When Michael Salzhauer was four years old, his father bought him his first stethoscope. Every night he would listen to his father's heartbeat before he went to bed, it was then that he knew he wanted to be a doctor. A few years later, Salzhauer discovered the show M.A.S.H. on television. He credits this television show for developing his personal passion and desire to become a surgeon. After high school, Salzhauer quickly enrolled in Brooklyn College where he majored in Psychology. While at college, he met another Psychology major named Eva in the school cafeteria. The two had a lot of similar interests and soon began dating. They shared a love for travel, especially to the beaches of Southern Florida and the couple eventually married in 1994.After receiving his Psychology degree, Salzhauer moved to the mid-west to attend the Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, MO. In 1996, after completing Medical School with honors, Dr. Salzhauer and his wife moved to Miami, FL to begin his surgical residency training. In 2003, he opened his private practice where he proved himself to be an exceptional surgeon and developed a reputation as a specialist in liposuction and body-reshaping.The majority of his patients were young mothers who wanted to better their bodies after having children. After witnessing this for several years, Salzhauer had an idea.On May 1, 2008, Dr. Salzhauer released his first book, My Beautiful Mommy.
