Michael was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and moved to Dearborn, Michigan at age 11. In high school he was active with football, track and the drama club. He earned a four-year football scholarship to Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts where he completed a B.A. in Sociology. Michael accomplished a second degree of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan and moved to Sacramento, California where he earned his registration as a Professional Engineer and worked as a civilian for 16 years at McClellan Air Force Base. In 1998 he left the Air Force to work full time as a computer network engineer with his wife Deborah Ouellette in her computer consulting business.Michael moved to southern California in 2001 when he took a job as manager of a county information technology support unit. He began performing in plays with The Newport Beach Repertory Theater and worked three seasons as a writer for the cable TV series The Heartbreak Cafe (1997). He studied Transition from Stage to Film and Scene Study under the late Lilyan Chauvin, Commercial Intensive with Judy Kain and Francine Selkirk and has appeared in numerous commercials, television episodes, and both independent and feature films.Michael pursued his ambition for comedy writing by completing multiple levels of training at Improv Olympic West, and he enhanced his comedic repertoire by training in improvisation (with George McGrath of the Groundlings) and stand-up comedy (with Barry Weisenberg). He has performed stand-up comedy on stage at the Comedy Store and Laugh Factory in Hollywood and at various other venues in other southern California.He wrote and performed sketch comedy for two years at Second Stage and is currently a member of The OC Crazies Main Group, under the tutelage of Groundlings Co-Founder, Cherri Kerr. He performs improv regularly at the DePietro Center and for various commercial events and industrial films.Michael and his wife Deborah Ouellette have been married since (1981). Deborah is also an actress and comedienne and, both being members of the Screen Actors' Guild they often perform together. For leisure Michael enjoys racquet ball, golf, yoga, reading and writing.
