Michael Morpurgo was born on October 5, 1943 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England as Michael Andrew Bridge Morpurgo. He is a writer and producer, known for War Horse (2011), When the Whales Came (1989) and My Friend Walter (1992). He is married to Claire Morpurgo MBE. They have three children.
