Michael Leigh Cook is a New York based, international stage & screen actor, writer and producer. He is the recipient of the Orson Welles award and a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA.He studied at the HB Studio New York, where he has been trained by Jonathan Lynn (Shakespeare) and Academy Award winner Mercedes Ruehl (Felicia Montealegre-Bernstein Masterclass).Michael played several real life characters on stage as well as on screen in the US and abroad: Mr. Kraler in the critically acclaimed The Diary of Anne Frank at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, FBI agent Roy De Vecchio, Colonel von Stauffenberg and Claus von Buelow. Notable stage credits include a lead role at Playwrights Horizons (Off-Broadway), the lead in Paradise for Three and the role of Fabrice De Simieuse in Ornifle ou le courant d'air, touring across Europe, performing in 96 cities.In 2016 Michael served on the SAG Awards Television Nominating Committee. He also served as an associate-and co-producer on several productions, most notably on: If The Trees Could Talk, winner of 27 international awards.
