Michael J. Miller, the son of actors Michael Miller and Eliza Miller, was born and raised in New York City. Michael began his acting career as a young child in 1976 in an Off-Broadway production of Dandelion Wine in Washington D.C. He had the fortune of working with his actor father (Three Days of the Condor), who was also cast in the production. He went on to act in several plays, including two Joseph Papp-produced Broadway productions, "Runaways" and "The Water Engine" in the late 1970s.He appeared in small rolls on the big screen, including Rich Kids (John Lithgow) and One Trick Pony (Paul Simon) and on made-for-TV movies throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s.During his forays into acting as a child, Michael discovered music and joined a pop/funk boy band with his brothers, Miller Miller Miller & Sloan, which is the subject of the feature length documentary film, We Don't Wanna Make You Dance.Michael lives in New York City and continues to be involved in music as a singer/songwriter and performing artist, going by the name of Mr. Shy since 2006.
