Michael Ford was born on December 11, 1994 in Moncton, New Brunswick, in the Maritimes of eastern Canada. Surrounded by maple sugar woods, mackerel fishing, sailing, and snow. At a young age he developed a passion for performing and entertaining. His first real acting gig would be his role as one of the royal children in his older brother's high school production of "The King and I". He continued on his path, participating in small middle school productions, attending theatre camps and acting classes along the way and booking the occasional commercial gig he received through a local modeling agency. He then followed his family's footsteps by joining the high school's renowned theatre program. It was here that his love for the stage was solidified. He was a part of every project the program offered, including the Provincial Drama Festival, Lunchbag Theatre and the annual Musicals and Showcases. He coached the revived improvisation team in his tenth grade year, earning him a spot on the MVP team to attend the Canadian Improv Games Finals in Ottawa. Michael was chosen as his class' Valedictorian and was awarded a medal for "Diversity in Characterization" at graduation.Upon graduating, Michael received a scholarship to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. He accepted and made the move in the Fall of 2012 at the young age of 17.He completed the two-year conservatory training in April 2014. After graduation, he was chosen to join the Academy Company, the third-year of training, which would include industry classes, master classes and four series of theatre productions. Throughout the season he had the privilege to work intimately with Frank Langella, Jerry Zaks, David Chase, Joey Pizzi, and Douglas Carter Beane. The Company year ended in April 2015 and he launched himself into the business right off the bat. He has booked gigs in Film, Television and Theatre in NYC, after only being out of school for a short 4 months.
