Michael Clinton Matthews Jr. was born on May 2, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. He came to Los Angeles, California in his early 20's to pursue his acting career. One of the first television shows he did was "Putting On the Hits" where he had to dance and lip-sync to Michael Jackson's "Ease on down the road" and he won 1st place. In 1986 he landed the role of "EJ" in the George McKenna Story(now titled Hard Lessons) starring Denzel Washington. After that he continue to appear on many television shows in the late 80's and early 90's such as Hill Street Blues, Donor(CBS), Becker, and Matlock. He also appeared in the films Night Children, Shocker, Crack House and Hollywood Shuffle. In 2001, he was featured in a Foster Farms chicken commercial as a taxi cab driver. Michael has been married four times, has seven children and resides in California.
