Michael Bronner is a journalist, screenwriter, producer and director. He transitioned into feature film in 2005 after many years at 60 Minutes, collaborating with director Paul Greengrass on Oscar-nominated and BAFTA winner United 93, Green Zone (Matt Damon, Khalid Abdalla) and Captain Phillips (Tom Hanks, Barkhad Abdi). His original screenplay, Chasing Agent Freegard (James Norton), which he is also producing, shoots in April 2021. A long-time staff producer at the weekday edition of 60 Minutes at CBS News, his work has been recognized with a Peabody Award, the Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative Reporting and several Emmy nominations. Bronner's long-form magazine writing has been published in Vanity Fair and Foreign Policy, among others, and he is a founding editor of the not-for-profit online magazine Warscapes.
