Meredith Lindsey was born on August 16, 1987 in Kansas City, Missouri to Sheila C. Gill (nee Cole), a kindergarten teacher, and Bruce Lindsey,a news reporter. The middle of three girls, Meredith's older sister, Lauren Lindsey, is credited as being the one who inspired Meredith to pursue acting. Meredith's love of acting and performance began at a very young age-she played a daisy in her preschool play, and, (despite numerous attempts to remove the giant elastic petal hat) a star was born. Shortly before the birth of the youngest daughter, Grace, the family moved across the border and officially into Kansas. But the acting bug persisted, and Meredith began to avidly pursue theater both in school and out. Her most notable part, (according to her grandfather) was her first grade play, "The Trial Of Goldilocks," where tiny Meredith, drowning in her mother's borrowed blazer and forgetting several lines, managed to pull off an amazing performance.
