Melina is a 14-year-old Latina actress, rapper, songwriter, and fashion designer. Melina was born in Vancouver BC and was raised by her single mother. She is a proud Canadian with cultural roots to Guatemala.Melina's performing ambitions were borne out of an initial love for dance, and as a 7-year-old was bitten by the acting bug when she was taken to a see her first musical. Melina's favorite musical is hairspray, and the fashion and style of that era have heavily influenced Melina's sense of style which is bright and colorful.Melina has embarked on various projects, such as starting her own YouTube channel "Melina In The Moment", recording rap and Latin music, and designing and sewing fashionable chic outfits.Melina has several years of experience performing in front of live audiences, ranging from dance, musical theater to performing an original rap song (which she also composed) in which she received a standing ovation.One of Melina's proudest moments was when she was cast for a short play for the "about Love Festival of Short Plays". Although she was the only child who participated, with plays that dealt with heavy adult subjects about loss and love, and in front of a live audience; she rose to the challenge and on closing night Melina was presented with the Award for Best Actress.Melina loves to dine out (she is an amateur foodie), reading, sketching, and catching up with her favorite shows on Netflix.
