Born and raised in the infamous city of Newark, NJ, Maysa's childhood was no walk in the park. Yet, even after losing both of her parents before she was 15, she decided to go out and chase her dreams. Right out of high school Maysa began modeling runways; traveling and performing with a Double Dutch crew in film, commercials and shared the stage with Pharrell Williams at the 2014 BET Awards; writing and recording her own music; she toured Europe with the Very Best of Black Gospel music group; and to date, she continues to serve her community as a Police Officer in her hometown. That said, Maysa knows that she found her true calling when she began acting. Within one year she trained with some of NYC's best, like Heidi Marshall Studios, Be Your Craft and In the Wink of and Eye, LLC., to name a few. No sooner than embracing her destiny, Maysa landed a supporting role in the Short Film Plan B as Yazmin; became a series regular as Trish in the TV/ web series, Single & Anxious on Amazon Prime; and is now filming a feature film, Love You Right starring Mark Hood; where she will play the principal role, Kiaira.
