Maya Patel is an Asian American actress , dancer, singer born in Pontiac, Michigan. Both her parents are of Indian descent. Her acting career began in 2014 at the Warren Civic Theatre, where she played the role of Willoughby in the theatrical performance "Mary Poppins." In 2015, she took on the role of "Ghostgirl" in the Sci-Fi web series "Necroland". Shortly after in 2016, she had the opportunity to play the role of Jimmie Bannett in the international, award-winning film "Bennett's Song." Maya continues filming short series as Jimmie on "Bennett's Song." Maya's love for dance began in 2012, with Bollywood Hip/Hop and classical Indian dance. She has performed in numerous recitals, local talent shows, as well as auditing for the upcoming season of America's Got Talent(2018). Vocally, Maya has also performed in many local venues. Her resume includes vocal coaching from the well known American Idol coach, Lis Lewis. Sge has also dabbled in modeling, with training from John Casablancas. There she walked the runway for Wigs 4 Kids and participated in IMTA 2015 (International Modeling Talent Assoc) . Her she was picked up by MMG Internationl (NYC). Maya continues to enhance her resume with classes in voice over, comedy, theatrical dance, classical Indian vocals and piano.In academics, Maya has maintained an overall A average. She served as 5th Gr. President and VP of student council. She's is enrolled in 6th gr. Honors Math. She continues her interests in foreign languages (Mandarin, Hindi and French) in the next year she plans to give back to her community through her own non-profit org. Maya's Mission:Spaghetti Saves lives. Her other interests include: mentoring children, riding bike, swimming, hanging with her friends and family and watching mysteries. Traveling has been an intricate part of her life as well. She has visited over 7 countries, in where she has captured her love for global unity and culture.
