Maxine Denis was born in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. to a Lebanese mother and a Canadian father. She was raised in Dubai alongside her sister Yasmine Denis and lived there until the age of eighteen.Maxine has been in the entertainment business since the age of eight when she was cast in Syriana. Since then her love and passion for acting have only blossomed. She spent three summers in Los Angeles, California training alongside great coaches, casting directors and other incredible actors.Throughout her time in high school back in Dubai she self-produced/directed multiple films, was cast in local commercials and acted in short films. She also took part in theatre productions such as Annie: The Musical, We Will Rock You: The Musical and more.Maxine has a passion for singing, but so far has reserved this for personal projects. She is hoping to dedicate some time in the future to writing and recording music. In 2014, Maxine was hired by a technology company called Pixelbug to record regular voice-overs for their main character Bugsy the ladybug in their application Colorbug. This is still an ongoing project as Bugsy still has many stories to tell.At the age of eighteen, Maxine moved to Montreal alone to further pursue acting and get a Psychology degree at McGill University. She joined the McGill Cheerleading Team for two years and competed nationally. Living 10,600km away from her family had its many challenges, but they taught her a lot about dedication and perseverance. In 2018, she graduated and received her Bachelor's Degree. She constantly continues her acting training, registering for workshops and classes and auditioning across the country. By speaking four languages, English, French, Arabic and Spanish, she has been able to broaden her horizons and work on even more projects. When Maxine is not working, she loves to stay active by training in boxing and rock climbing and attending HIIT classes. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially when that involves playing board games or trying new restaurants. In her spare time, she also volunteers at the Montreal Children's Hospital weekly and at fundraiser events around the city. One goal on Maxine's bucket list is to travel the world and discover all the incredible cultures and landscapes.Maxine now resides in Montreal and is working hard to gain footing and experience. She is represented by Maria Morelia at Bellini International Inc. for film/television, voiceover, commercial and print.
