* Maurice "Reese" Clark was born in Hartford, CT and began dancing at the age of 6 years old. He was inspired after watching street performers dance. He idolized the dance moves from artists including: Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, James Brown and Jackie Wilson. Maurice began acting at the age of 9 starring in locally produced renditions of "Mary Poppins", "Winnie the Pooh" and "The Little Mermaid" (as "Sebastian"). Later, he began teaching professional dance classes at the young age of 13 years old; and has celebrated a 25 year career in the arts. He studied and taught Ballet, Modern, Ballroom, African Dance, Hip Hop, Jazz and Mime. In 2008, he opened his own dance studio "The Workshop Dance Studios" which he established and operated two locations simultaneously (Holyoke and Springfield, MA). He has taught dance fitness programs since 2008 in some of the most recognized brands in the industry, and continues to be a recognized, trend-setting inspiration even today. Maurice is a multi-award winning Producer/Director/Artist. Awards Include: 2015 Best Supporting Actor, issued by The Atlanta Black Theatre Festival and the 2015 Alder's Award, issued by The City of New Haven for "Legends of the Forgotten Borough". A musical theater production based on the life and legacy of legendary R&B /Hip Hop pioneers, The Force MD's. Maurice portrays "Jessie" (Jessie Daniels), founder, original lead singer, and a figure of controversy. 2015 Producer's Award and 2015 Best Show/Best Show Concept for "The Reese and Grace Show"(formerly known as "OEG's UnScripted with Reese and Grace" issued by AccessTV Connecticut. A magazine-style talk show produced and hosted by husband and wife duo, Maurice and Grace Clark. This interactive show is cutting edge, witty, honest, and tackles a variety of social and lifestyle topics. 2010 "Outstanding Men of Honor", issued by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. for outstanding service to his community and culture. 2008 Governor's Award for "Outstanding Advocacy for Youth and the Arts", issued by former Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell. Some of his television and film credits include: "Oprah's Master Class" (Gladys Knight edition), "Blindspot", "Diamond Ruff" (movie) and "Sunny's Secret" (independent film). His other theater credits include: "Wide Open: A One Woman Stage Play" (Director/Choreographer), "The Thick Chronicles" (choreographer/actor), "Long May She Wave" (multiple roles each showing), and "Who Killed Bobby Clayton?"(male lead). His media acknowledgments include MTV/MTV.com, World of Dance, as well as numerous national/local radio and television appearances including: Fox, NBC, CBS, and other syndicates.
