Matthew Pollino was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada where he began his career in the entertainment industry, starting at an early age performing in convention and variety shows at almost every major hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, which led to performing in Pahrump and Laughlin Nevada, at Nevada Governor Brian's birthday party, and at benefits for underprivileged children and teenagers as well as handicapped children.In his early teens Matthew set his sights on acting, first reenacting scenes from his favorite movies with neighborhood friends, and then studying theater throughout high school, which led to getting his first extra part in Van Damm's Universal Soldier. That started it all...Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001 Matthew has appeared in several films and industry related projects, working with the likes of the late Pat Morita, Dolph Lundgren, Fred Dreyer, Ron Perlman, Wolf Larson, Erika Elainiak, and Shannyn Sossamon., along with completing two films for Roger Corman's company, Concorde New Horizons. One of which played at The Cannes' Film Festival in May of 2001.In Nov. of 04' Matthew booked the role of "lead skater guy" in a national Diet Coke commercial titled Roller-girl. He also appeared on a number of television shows including General Hospital, (which led to a recurring role), The Agency and Americas Most Wanted. In 2006 Matthew booked a recurring role on FX's hit show The Shield and in early January of 07' he was cast in the role of Angelo in the film Hotel California from Alliance Group Entertainment, following that up in 2008 Matthew landed a small role in the upcoming film Ashland.Matthew has also appeared in several other commercials (including an I Hop, & Nike national), along with music videos for Jessica Simpson, Pink & Faith Evans which showcased his skating and martial arts skills, and he has been pictured in martial arts magazines such as Black Belt and Tae Kwon Do Times. He was also pictured in Muscle Mag International and The Hollywood Reporter for films he did. Pollino's acting pursuits and talents have taken him into other realms of the film industry, new to the list is producing. Currently he is seeking a short film project to produce and perform in to help further his acting career, but Matthew is also known for performing stunts, stunt doubling, along with fight coordinating and choreographing.
