Matt Zemlin was born in Hamburg of mixed Scandinavian/Irish descent(father)and French/Prussian descent(mother) and started acting as a child. After his education in Hamburg and Canterbury, Kent, where he had his first professional theatre performances, he earned a BA (Hons) degree in London while working. He then was Deputy CEO of a health care company while getting TV parts in Europe such as in Einsatz in Hamburg (2000) and taking intensive acting classes. Eventually he came to Los Angeles and attended The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute on a scholarship where he graduated and continued his acting career securing his first American film parts in The Sky Has Fallen (2009), Kiss & Kill (2010), King of the Underground (2011), She Wants Me (2012) and Citizen Soldiers. Matt Zemlin also is a pianist and composer, his compositions/improvisations draw from jazz, classical and romantic music, soul and other genres.
