Matt Meinsen is a New York based actor and member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.Matt was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Queens, and studied at SUNY under the direction of Max Schaefer, whom he credits as his acting mentor, and also had the opportunity to study voice and work side by side with the late Tony Award winner, Shepard Coleman.In 2012, at the age of 38, he made the decision to take his lifelong love of acting to the next level and pursue acting as his only career. After 18 years of stage work, and portraying some of the greatest characters of the stage, he has now begun to expand his resume beyond stage work, and has set his focus on the craft of film.He has recently completed work on several films, both short and feature length, as well as a recurring co-star role on the CBS television show "Madam Secretary" as Secretary Elizabeth McCord's Diplomatic Security detail.
