Mark McCann has appeared in many Australian film, television and theatre productions since 1986. He played nine different characters in the television series "GP", including a violent mental patient in the final episode.The film "Corrupt Justice" in 1993, starring Jacqueline Bisset, included a gory death scene for Mark at the hands of her boyfriend (Masaya Kato).The television series "Grass Roots" in 2000, a brilliant satire of local government, gave Mark the opportunity to showcase different floral shirts as Barry Cunningham, the editor of the local paper.In 2002, he appeared in the sci-fi series "Farscape" as a Grudek (half-man, half-beast), which required a six hour make up session.His favourite theatrical role was that of "George" in the comedy "Don't Dress for Dinner", which toured Australia in 1994, and also starred Gorden Kaye ("'Allo 'Allo"), Robert Hughes ("Hey Dad"), Amanda Muggleton, Tina Bursill and Anna Lee - a fellow graduate of The Ensemble Studios.From 2002 to 2013, Mark appeared in a series of comic plays about lawyers, written and produced by a Sydney lawyer - Tony Laumberg.
