Marisa Lynae was born at home in Arlington, Texas. Her parents are Mark and Lisa Hampton. She is the youngest of 5 children, all of whom are gifted musically - which they got from their parents. Marisa has loved theater and singing since she was very young. Her parents took her to see Phantom of the Opera at Dallas Fair Park when she had just turned 4 years old. Sitting on her booster seat with opera glasses she responded to the production with a hand on her heart saying "This is amazing!!" immediately the concerned look of other audience members turned to smiles. She sat on the edge of her seat the entire time without so much as a word. That's all it took. Her first role on the professional stage at Casa Manana in Fort Worth, Texas was "Bashful" in Snow White, she was 8 years old. Marisa began exploring film at the age of 12. She loves going to see her coach Mary Jo who is able to get some great acting out of her. She has two goals: 1. to be able to do a film with Pure Flix and 2. by the age of 24 perform on Broadway as "Christine" in Phantom of the Opera. Marisa started kindergarten at Texas School of the Arts, moved to Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy for middle school but is now homeschooling. She also is very involved with her youth group and sings in the praise team. (an incredible ear for harmony and it's spot-on) Her favorite subjects are ELA and History. Just FYI - she tested 10 grade 6th month - post-high school in these areas at the end of 7th grade. French is also a favorite. Algebra - well, it's an unfortunate necessity. She expects a lot of herself and tends to be a perfectionist. However, her vocal coach Marlene Bigley (google her) tells her she is a woman of excellence - this seems to take some of the pressure off that she puts on herself. Most importantly, clearly knowing and understanding where these talents and gifts come from, Jesus is her light - making her ultimate goal being right in the center of His perfect will for her life.
