Marcus Sim was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1981. He moved with his parents to Malaysia and grew up in a working-class Chinese neighborhood in the state of Sarawak. There he attended elementary and secondary schools and in 1997, moved to British Columbia, Canada where he completed his secondary education.Marcus then enrolled in film, video and photography studies at Capilano College, North Vancouver and took some film courses including Dov S - S Simens Hollywood Film School. Since then he's produced, directed and written films that have played at film festivals in Canada and the U.S.Marcus has also booked acting roles in film and T.V. productions in Vancouver like Dragon Boys, Smallville, Dark Angel and Walking Shadow.
