At 6' 6", 255lbs with a silky smooth, bass-baritone voice, Actor Marcus Brown commands your attention when he steps into any audition. His tall stature and masculine presence alone evokes Hollywood's never-ending search for the next leading male action hero, athletic super-star or romantic comedy love interest. Born on the West End of Rockford, IL, Brown moved to Los Angeles in 1987. During his early years, while watching television sitcoms, he told his parents, "I can do that..." Hearing this, his mother researched many of the Los Angeles children's talent agencies and signed Marcus to the Bobbie Ball Agency, on the same day of their meeting. The following day, not yet a member of the Screen Actor's Union, he booked his first TV show, on the Fox Network, police drama, "DEA". After his short stint with his first talent agency, Marcus made his move to the 45 year old industry powerhouse of Cunningham, Escott, Slevin & Doherty (CESD), theatrical, commercial and voice over divisions. He's honed his acting skills under the tutelage of theatrical, Scene Study Coaches Kevin McDermott, Annette Cardona, Adam Keefe, and Cold Reading Coach Joey Paul. Throughout the 17 years at CESD, his agents booked him for guest and feature roles on many of the award-winning, prime time family sitcoms, action, mystery and crime dramas, along with motion picture theatrical releases. Though not a household name, Marcus Brown's body of work mirrors that of a who's who of hit advertising, television & film production credits: Commercials: Known for his comedic construction worker role, in the now classic hit Super Bowl Subway commercial, McDonald's, 7Up, and Budlight; Television: ABC's "Modern Family", Picture Day Prod., 20th. If Marcus won the game, Neeson, promised Marcus a part, in the film. Marcus won and was on a flight to the film's location, in a matter of an hour! Although Universal Pictures did not release "New Jersey Turnpikes" to major distribution, the young neophyte actor continued to audition with encouragement, of industry veteran, Executive Producer Bob Myers of ABC Productions.
