Marcos Efron was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised in Houston, Texas. After earning a business degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Marcos worked as an investment banker in New York and Miami but eventually chose to tackle more creative endeavors. Starting his career as an executive at Artisan Entertainment, Industry Entertainment and Relativity Media, Marcos began directing commercials and music videos for a variety of artists, including Jewel and The Fates. After his evocative short film "Common Practice" played the Sundance Film Festival, Marcos left the executive world behind to focus on developing a slate film and TV projects full time.
