Louis Frederick Vincent Scherschel was born in Valparaiso, Indiana to Justin, a rental business owner, and Louise, a homemaker. He developed an interest in theatrical arts while a senior at his Indiana high school. Born and raised in Indiana, Louis spent his formative years in Valparaiso and traveled abroad often during high school. He spent his high school summers in Switzerland and Australia where he developed a strong love of Germanic/Scandinavian cultures and the aquatic culture of Sydney. Because of scholastic and academic opportunities offered to him, Louis delayed pursuing acting to develop his first professional interest in architecture.As a child, Louis grew up in a conservative Catholic family and attended private school until college. After graduating from Andrean High School, Louis moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota where he obtained his civil engineering and architecture degrees. Aside from acting and screenwriting, Louis is a licensed architect. Louis' first foray into television and film came about through an opportunity from a professional colleague to be a part of an episode in a local Chicago television show. Subsequently, Louis took on small roles in Bollywood and short films when offered which eventually led to work in Hollywood.At present, Louis splits his time professionally between Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and Seattle.
