Liana Mendoza, Born in Los Angeles, California. Woman of Influence, Entertainer of The Year and honored by SAG-AFTRA as a Diversity Performer. Liana began her journey of acting as a child in commercial and print. She is of multicultural ethnicity, Native American, Russian Jewish, Spanish and Middle Eastern. As an adult, she is internationally recognized as "Sexiest Spaniard" along with Enrique Iglesias, Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz. Mendoza's versatile appearance gives an ethnically ambiguous appeal to Hollywood, which expands her capacity to play various roles. Her given name translates from her native "Strong Vine" (Chimeca Tribe). She was raised in North East Los Angeles with a struggling, yet strong and hopeful single mother nicknamed "Vickie" but also lived in San Juan Del Monte throughout her childhood with her grandparents in an Adobe Hut made by the hands of her native ancestors. This land is still owned and occupied by her family who fought off the Spaniards and maintained their ground which created a deep appreciation for value in others and gratitude for the simple things in life.Mendoza joined the cast of the FX, Emmy-Award Winning, American Horror Story: Hotel in 2015. The show and cast was nominated for a Golden Globe (2016). Since then, she has joined the cast as a guest star on several shows such as Baskets, Bones, Scandal as well as Better Call Saul. This stream of success has led her to become the Entertainment Ambassador for the Latin Business Association (LBA) which represents over 800,000 companies and businesses as well as over 50 Fortune 500 companies. Most recently her win for "Latina of Influence" has created a buzz as well as sponsorship around this rising star. Her ever growing list of Television and Feature Film credits are sure to continue.An all around versatile talent, Ms. Mendoza began performing as a tap dancer at age 3 and moved onto modern jazz, ballet and hip hop. She was invited into a professional dance company by age 8 and eventually was Invited to attend Hamilton High School for Performing Arts. Mendoza began training in musical theatre and opera with Seth Riggs (Coach to the Stars). She also took an interest in Martial Arts and began training with world renowned fellow stunt man Bob Yerkes. With over a decade of training, she began a career in the world of acting as a stunt-woman.Liana has a "takes a village to raise a child" philosophy and credits aunts Yvette and Juanita with being two of the biggest influences for her being able to have obtained her dreams and goals. "Their support and words of wisdom were necessary for my mentality of success", she states.Believing in the philosophy that that we all pass the elevator back down--in the words of Jack Lemmon--she involves herself in youth programs and charity organizations including Operation Smile, Sober College, Help as One, Every Monday Matters and Stand up in the Halls. Her heart belongs to Students Run LA (SRLA) where she was not only a mentor for at-risk youth but completed the Los Angeles Marathon along side them.
