Leigh Smith commenced his journey into the realm of entertainment and acting after completing an internship with the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, FL.Following on from his time in this highly esteemed and respected position Leigh went on to complete studies with The Australian Film and Television Academy (TAFTA). In his time here Leigh worked with highly respected industry professionals in the Australian Entertainment Industry as well as the most experienced acting coaches and instructors.Leigh then went on to complete short films and commercials with companies such as Visa and Canon Camera. Leigh also gained experience on the set of such shows as 'Neighbours' & 'Winners & Losers'.Leigh then completed lead roles as a presenter in 'Media Strikes Back' on Channel 31. 'Misguided' an original improvisation program where the story line keeps on going. In this role Leigh created many original characters and performed in front of a live studio audience. His main character Felix was highly regarded and he also received a writing credit for this project.In 2017 Leigh was also the main featured talent in a nation wide commercial campaign for the Optical Company/Kevin Paisley Eyewear which was both televised and printed in numerous national locations.Leigh can also been seen in Counter Play on Channel 9 as Tim. Recently, Leigh has completed his first full length feature film thriller "TKG: Kids of Grove" as Nathan for which the director personally wrote the role for him and was also casting director on the project.Leigh has also released and created his first professional short film 'Sacrifice' which he also stars in as James Hunter. Sacrifice is a LGBTQI military love story which is something that has not been seen in cinema. It has already gained recognition in the USA and Australia.Leigh continues to study and develop his acting skills at the world famous 'Groundlings' in Los Angeles, CA which has given rise to many successful comical identities including Melissa McCarthy, Will Ferrell & Kristin Wiig to name but a few. Leigh also actively completes workshops and one on one coaching with esteemed acting set coach Kristina Sexton.Leigh is represented in both Los Angeles and Australia and his representation can be contacted for any inquiries.
