Lauren was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Her mother is Cuban born, and her father is a Miami native. A dancer growing up, Lauren discovered acting when her middle school crush led her to it. She fell in love (with acting, not the boy). Acting led her to the USC School of Dramatic Arts where she majored in Drama. After graduating, Lauren stayed in Los Angeles and worked towards becoming a professional actress. Most recently she has produced and acted in "Mack & Rita" Starring Diane Keaton, "Sometimes I Think About Dying" Starring Daisy Ridley, and "Baby Ruby" Starring Noémie Merlant & Kit Harrington.
