Lane Lovegrove, a native of Summerville, South Carolina, had always dreamed of becoming a film actor when he grew up. In high school he performed scene's from Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf and The Lords of Discipline for speech and debate competitions throughout the state. In college he studied theater and worked on plays like Tea House of The August Moon, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Absent Minded Professor at Spartanburg Methodist College and Am I Blue at neighboring Converse College. He took a detour how ever to study political science at Winthrop University for a number of years where he worked as a public opinion pollster and statistician. Beginning again in his late thirties he decided to renew his childhood ambition to pursue film and television acting by working nearly full time as a professional background talent eventually studying Meisner technique with seasoned film maker and director Michael Givens in his native Charleston area. Lovegrove is now a professional freelance actor working through out the south east. You may still catch him guest starring on the occasional Carolina television series or Georgia film. He happily divides his time between Charlotte, NC and his home base of Charleston, SC.
