Krysia is from the north of England. She has a natural ear for characters and dialogue as well as telling compelling stories with authenticity. Krysia uses strong themes including abuse, neglect and bullying, believing writing is a platform to promote equality, spirituality and women's rights. She started her career as a television actress in BBC dramas such as Born and Bred, Mersey Beat, Doctors and The Bill. She began writing plays at an early age, workshopped at various small theatres and completed writing courses at The Soho Theatre as well as Curtis Brown and Jericho Writers. She is a Curtis Brown Creative alumni graduate, mentored by Catherine Johnson. She had been longlisted for the Bafta Rocliffe Award for a sitcom and held rehearsed readings for various projects at Bafta. Her feature film 'Dating Jake' was optioned in 2011. In 2020 she was longlisted for the BBC drama room and the BBC comedy room. She spends her time with her two small children and a cockapoo and teaches storytelling as well as reading and writing scripts. She has a number of scripts in development.
