Kelsey Deanne was born in Fort Worth, TX and has lived in Dallas, Houston, New York City, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and the Bay Area, CA. She always wanted to do and experience everything (in a healthy way, not drugs) including piano, ballet, cheerleading, band (five instruments), competitive road cycling, scuba diving, surfing, and competitive running, just to name a few.Since she couldn't figure out what she wanted to do with her life, and high school wasn't providing any answers, she graduated from Burlingame High School one year early to attend Lawrence University's Conservatory of Music in Appleton, WI on a piano performance scholarship. After one semester of practicing in a basement studio for 6 hours a day, she switched majors to anthropology where she had more human contact. She joined the Cross-Country and Track teams and earned a B.A. in three years. Kelsey continued her education to complete a M.A. in applied anthropology from University of North Texas and another M.A. in anthropology from The New School (NYC).It was while studying in NYC that she realized academia wasn't for her. Through the prompting of a friend, Kelsey went to a hair model casting and booked the job. It gave her the confidence she needed to land a commercial/print agent, Rick Miller, who encouraged her to take acting classes. She fell in love with acting and began to pursue her childhood dream with the help of her mentor, Harry O'Reilly. Kelsey's resume includes over 20 independent films, Discovery ID and SyFy TV shows, and the writer/director/musician for the short film "My Neighbor".Kelsey also co-owns the production company De/Anne with Anne Cates, specializing in narrative films and documentaries.Free time includes singing with her Siberian Husky Luna, High Speed Performance Driving to chase down Mad Max, sipping good whiskey and microbrewery IPA, aimlessly walking around whichever city or town she's in, running and building muscles to kick butt, writing gnarly screenplays, and playing classical piano.
