SERGEANT FIRST CLASS (SFC) KELLIS RICHARDSONSergeant First Class Kellis Richardson was born in Rolla, Missouri. He grew up and attended school in Sullivan, Missouri. He joined the Army after graduation in Aug 1998 and attended OSUT (One Station Unit Training) at Fort Benning, Georgia to be an Infantryman.During his career, SFC Richardson served as a grenadier, machine gunner, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, and Senior Instructor. He participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom on 3 separate occasions 03-04, 05-06, 07-08, he also deployed to Afghanistan from 10-11. His additional deployments include: Thailand as a trainer during Operation Cobra Gold; Sanai as a member of the Multi-National Forces and Observers.SFC Richardson has been assigned to the following units: B Co 1-21 IN Schofield Barracks, HI. 2nd BN 327 IN, 1st BDE, 101st Airborne Division, Ft Campbell, Ky. And C Co 434th FA, Ft Sill, Ok.SFC Richardson's military and civilian education includes the US Army Air Assault School, Combat Leaders Course, Equal Opportunity Liaison Course, Small Arms Weapons and Optics Expert Course, Basic Emergency Medical Technician Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Instructor Training Course, Warrior Leaders Course (Commandants List), Advanced Leaders Course(Commandants List), Combat Lifesaver Course, and the Hazardous Materials and Handlers Course.
