Kelechi Okafor is a British Nigerian actress who has lived in London since she was five years old.Kelechi studied at the highly regarded BRIT School of performing arts specialising in Musical Theatre and English Literature and went on to gain a 2:1 BA in Drama and Theatre Studies with Law. A keen athlete Kelechi represented her regional county running 200m on numerous occasions as an air cadet. In 2018, Kelechi won Fitness Queen of the Year at the Precious Lifestyle Awards, followed by two Screen Nation awards in 2019; Best podcast and Best social media personality. Kelechi is well known across social media with a following of 80,000 plus. Kelechi's popularity online is due to her wit, and incisive commentary on current affairs. Kelechi's success also extends to her viral online creation #SallyInHR. Kelechi is a published essayist for a piece she wrote, 'It's not okay to feel blue and other lies' curated by Scarlett Curtis. The royalties from this book have gone to Shout, which is a 24/7 suicide and crisis help and text line. Kelechi's attention to detail extends to accents, being proficient at general American, and Nigerian accents. In her spare time, Kelechi is also learning Polish.
