Born in 1954, Keith Mole was raised in Wallsend, an old Roman town, situated on the banks of the river Tyne, in the North East of England.Despite this, Keith does not speak Latin or Italian. He attended the local Grammar School and set my sights on becoming an Astronaut after watching the moon landings in July 1969. Sadly Keith had neither the aptitude nor the head for heights. In 1996 Keith traveled to New Zealand with his family and set down roots on the Kapiti Coast. A career in Information Technology saw him work his way through Westpac, Telecom, Gartner Inc and the Department of Internal Affairs - before being made redundant in February 2010.Far from being despondent about the situation, Keith took the opportunity to head back to the seat of learning, taking on a three year study (BA) in creative writing, specializing in Screen Writing. The rest as they say was history. Each day Keith locks himself in my office with gallons of coffee and the occasional 'Bourbon' biscuit. Now, a full time writer, part time actor and dedicated granddad, Keith still lives on the Kapiti Coast, at Raumati Beach - with his wife, dogs and various members of his extended family. With a number of screen plays, radio plays, TV Shows and children's stories already under my belt, Keith appeared in many feature films as an extra including in the second and third films of The Hobbit trilogy.
