Kayd Currier was born in Derry, New Hampshire to Heather Angers, a nurse and Richard Currier, motorcycle enthusiast and shop owner. He is of French, Irish and Italian ancestry. Following in his father's footsteps, Kayd was placed on a bike from age one, and was riding his first motorcycle at three years old. Drawn to the open road, Kayd travelled the U.S. as a professional motorcycle racer. While at the top of his game, a series of life-changing events altered the trajectory of his career. On July 7th 2000 Kayd's best friend Jamie Bowman, also a fellow professional motorcycle racer, was killed in a catastrophic collision at the Laguna Seca Raceway in Turn 2. One year to the day later, July 7th 2001, during a race, Kayd also suffered a terrible crash in Turn 2. His injuries were identical to those that killed his friend, and he was put on life support. Kayd recovered from his injuries and received extensive media exposure following the accident. This prompted his move to Hollywood, where he began working in film as an actor, stuntman, motorcycle stunt rider, precision driver, and coordinator. When he's not on set, Kayd is either riding stunt bikes, fabricating custom performance motorcycles or out running parkour through nature. He is also a certified yoga instructor, Reiki master, Integrated Energy and nutrition Specialist. He recently worked on the Amazon series Goliath with Billy Bob Thornton. Show less «
