The eldest of six, Katie grew up in Surbiton, SW London and trained as an aerialist at the National Centre for Circus Arts. She discovered circus at Glastonbury Festival, after originally training as a gymnast. Katie studied English with Creative Writing at Falmouth University, and works as a freelance aerialist, stilt walker and actress.Katie has been a circus coach and movement consultant on a number of projects for stage and screen, including ITV's Get Your Act Together, Amazon's The Aeronauts, Channel 4 / Random Act's Stilts, Les Enfants Terribles' Alice Underground, Stratton Oakmont's The Wolf of Wall Street and Sisters Grimm's Voices of the Amazon.Katie was the central model in Kirsty Mitchell's acclaimed photography series, Wonderland.Katie occasionally works with her father's visual effects company, Invisible Arts Collective, as a prep artist. The company was founded by John Hardwick. Based in New Zealand, Katie's brother, Will Hardwick, and his partner, Stephanie Staunton, are core members of the VFX team. Show less «
